Norse gods

A couple has bought the farm across the road. The only one annoyed is Elsa the cat. This is her hunting ground, and she does not like the color they’ve painted the barn.

Darkness not so much falls as it is always present. A shadow, really, to remind us of the light. How do the stars pop out in the night? I can’t remember.

Across the road from Karin’s, is a barn and a house with no running water. An old lady lived there, but she died last winter, and now a couple of men have bought the place and the large parcel of land attached. They have to share with the stray cats in the yard and the family of mice in the attic.

As we rounded the corner by the farmhouse, we came upon a small cottage where an old lady lived with a Golden Retriever. We’d never met the lady, but we’d met the dog several times over the past 9 years.
