Monica wonders what happened to the dogs. There were two dogs. The fluffy one left first. Then, a few weeks later, the other one was gone too. The other one was half bald. Monica liked the fluffy one the best. Sometimes she would hang out on the railings and look down on the dog trying to find her. It was the fluff that made her half blind, and Monica liked to hide in the blind spots. Mocking. That’s the kind of friends they were.
