Synopsis
In her basement apartment, a woman suffers from violent delusions. Haunted by her beautiful torturer she struggles to understand the difference between fantasy and reality...between pain and pleasure.

Up until this point, I had only directed narrative shorts. Wanting to free myself from narrative, I decided to shoot “Fragile” with no dialogue and no straight forward narrative. I enlisted the help of photographer Spencer Rowell who had great success in the 80s with visually driven music videos and commercial stills. Spencer wanted to experiment shooting on 16mm with old Bolex cameras, trashy lenses and in-camera effects. “Fragile” comes from my darker side.
