Here we are

Here we are location scouting for our activist film “Locked.” The Army Corps of Engineers want to blow up a a concrete block the size of the Chrysler building in the middle of the 9th Ward. They want to expand the Lock in the Industrial Canal because: money. Our movie says residents of The Nine and St. Bernard have suffered enough at the hands of the Corps and those who would mercilessly exploit our land for nothing but profit. And to profit few while disrupting lives and livelihoods will not stand, man. No. Ah ah. Not going to take it anymore. The land is flooding. The land is sinking. We need to focus on that and how we will adapt. Besides, after the Corps built a hurricane superhighway called the MR-GO that both Betsy and Katrina rode on their way to destruction, can we really trust them with anything ever again?
